Basic research activity aimed at the study of para-inflammation and the role of growth factors on the ocular surface with the development of in vitro models. Immunohistochemistry, immunoenzymatic assays and molecular evaluations on ocular fluids and biopsy samples.

- Pathophysiological mechanisms that regulate ocular response: in vitro and vivo studies.
