The clinical care activity under direct management is carried out at the British Hospital Presidium of the San Giovanni – Addolorata Hospital and is completely in agreement with the National Health System.

The I.R.C.C.S. Foundation G.B. Bietti for the Study and Research in Ophthalmology ONLUS carries out, since June 2008, activities of hospitalization and care at the British Hospital, located in the context of the Hospital San Giovanni Addolorata with beds and numerous specialized clinics.

The IRCCS has at its disposal the most modern and advanced technologies for both the diagnosis and treatment of severely disabling visual diseases.

Research Location

The patients who refer to this Center are recruited exclusively within Clinical Trials and specific research protocols and, for this reason, the services provided in this clinic are free and do not require a medical request as they are not at the expense of the National Health Service. With the contribution of the Rome Foundation, all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment was purchased and renovated for the creation of a highly specialised centre.
