Complex Operational Unit of Research
The Scientific Directorate oversees a Complex Operational Unit (C.O.U.) named “Research”. The primary objective of the C.O.U. is to promote the quality of scientific research activities aimed at advancing knowledge in the fields of biomedicine and public health. This includes supporting researchers in identifying funding sources, managing research projects and protocols, both investigator-initiated and sponsored, and overseeing current research within the research workflow.
To achieve this goal, the Research C.O.U. is organized into the following Organizational Positions (O.P.s.):
Clinical Trial Center
A center specialized in conducting, managing, and overseeing clinical trials.
GRANT OFFICE
The Technology Transfer Office manages the commercialization of scientific and technological innovations.
TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
As an independent body, it is responsible for evaluating scientific and therapeutic research programs initiated within the Institute.
TEACHING AND TRAINING
Development and implementation of educational programs and continuing education courses for professionals and students in the medical and scientific fields.
